A director at Langford Callard since 1996 and the transition to Tauranga Eyecare in 2017 , Mike enjoys the long term care of patients that independent optometry enables. With a post-graduate Diploma in Ocular Therapeutics, and interests in specialty contact lens fitting, dry eye, myopia management and sports vision solutions. Passionate about all sport, he will be found crashing tennis balls,trail running,ripping MTB tracks and sea kayaking.
Celia graduated from Auckland University with a Bachelor of Optometry with Ocular Therapeutics. Initially working in Australia she returned to the Bay becoming a director at Langford Callard in 2013 and the transition to Tauranga Eyecare in 2017. Celia enjoys problem solving and also the fashion side of optometry. She’s keen on water sports and is very happy to be back in the sunny BOP.
Adrian joined the team in 2023. Born and educated in South Africa he moved to NZ in 2019 and completed the OCANZ conversion exams at the Australian College of Optometry and subsequently his therapeutics endorsement. He has worked within corporate,independent and mobile practice optometry. He enjoys helping patients find practical solutions to their individual eye care needs. Outside of work he enjoys outdoor activities,sports and music.
Nikki joined the Tauranga Eyecare team in 2024 ,bringing 10 years as a therapeutic optometrist in the United States. She has a specialty in ocular disease management and believes that healthy eyes are the foundation to great vision. She is dedicated to ensuring every patient receives exceptional care. Outside of work,she enjoys relaxing at the beach and exploring the outdoors with her family.
Kimberley joined the Tauranga Eyecare team in 2021 and was appointed practice manger in 2023 and has worked in the optical industry for 10 years-previously working in corporate optometry. She is a qualified and registered Dispensing Optician since 2016. She is passionate about all things optometry from gaining clinical knowledge to dispensing the latest lens designs and frame innovations.
Joining us in 2020 from corporate optometry with practice administration responsibility, Andy is enjoying the long term patient relationships and clinical emphasis in independent optometry. She has strong skills in customer service, frame styling and contact lenses. She works in both practices. Away from work she enjoys motorsport drifting.
Andrea joined the Tauranga Eyecare team in 2018 from a background in administration, fashion and homeware retail. She can be found on reception at both practices and enjoys getting to know new and existing patients and helping with frame selections. Outside of work she enjoys walking, travel, boating and reading.
Elijah joined the team in 2023.You will find him on the front desk at both practices. He is enjoying the technical aspects of optometry and is involved in lens quality control. In mid 2024 Elijah has started the 3 year dispensing opticiams course involving practical and theory aspects of all things dispensing of spectacles. Away from optometry he enjoys tinkering with cars and socialising with mates.
Jessica came to Tauranga Eyecare in May 2023. From a long term hospitality background she is enjoying building relationships with patients at both practices. You will find her at reception at both practices with a ready smile. Jessica especially enjoys advising patients on a new frame choice with colour. Outside of work she enjoys the great outdoors,culinary experiments and spending time with her two pets.
Brooke joined the Tauranga Eyecare team in October 2023 coming from a background in hospitality and tourism. She enjoys interacting with patients in both practices and is rapidly learning all things optometry. Spare time is spent with friends and family and she enjoys reading.
