About Us
Hi, A few words from Mike Callard
I’m one of two Directors (the other is Celia Cutfield) at TAURANGA EYECARE one of Tauranga’s longest running independent optometry practices. Tauranga Eyecare evolved from Langford Callard Optometrists.
In 2014 we also opened a branch practice- Omokoroa Eyecare to cater for the growing populations of Omokoroa,Pahoia,Whakamarama,Te Puna and Katikati. In 2017 we moved the Tauranga practice to Cameron Rd/6th Ave due to redevelopment of the Elizabeth St site where we had been for 50+ years.
So what does being ‘independent’ mean when it comes to optometry?
Being independent means that:
- We’re NOT owned by an overseas company or a big corporate (we are locally owned)
- We’re NOT forced to stock certain brands or products as we are not part of a chain
- We SUPPORT New Zealand owned suppliers of frames and lenses
- We WILL provide you with an individualised visual solution that’s tailored to your eyes
What’s the most important thing to YOU when choosing your optometrist?
You only have one set of eyes, so how do you decide who is worthy of keeping them in the best possible condition?
If you’re looking for peace of mind, the latest technology, continuity of eyecare and being looked after by an experienced team and being provided a specific solution for your eyes, then I think we’re the best choice in Tauranga.
Please contact us, we’d love to hear from you.
