We are proud to have our very own Optical Coherence Tomographer (OCT) at Langford Callard-the Zeiss Cirrus 5000.
We one of very few optometry practices in NZ to have this technology, and the first practice in the Bay of Plenty to utilise this tool.
What is an OCT?
An OCT provides high resolution images of the anterior segment of the eye and retina, especially the macula and optic nerve head.
It takes a detailed, 3D image below the surface of your retina, and it’s now the gold standard in vivo imaging device for the retina.
It’s able to provide real time, cross-sectional images and analysis to optimise the diagnosis and monitoring of retinal disease.
Retinal scanning has a cost of 95.00.
